I have a JIRA v6.0.3 which is integrated with crowd v2.3.1. The crowd directory consists of a group which further has 4 child groups.
When I add the parent group in the project roles in JIRA, the users of the child groups should be able to access the project. But the users are unable to do so.
I have enabled the nested group option which was disabled earlier, but the problem still persists.
Thanks in advance,
Pooja
Hi Pooja,
On top of the suggestion from Yogesh - to help diagnose the issue, I'd recommend looking at the Crowd user information and check if the parent group was showing there - if it's not showing then Crowd needs the nested group option turned on. If it's showing in Crowd, then move to Jira and confirm if the parent group is showing there.

Hello @Craig Castle-Mead,
Thanks for your response, I have re-configured the crowd settings from JIRA which resolved the problem.

Pooja
