Hi,

I am installing the Jira data center with 4 nodes and I have successfully deployed all the nodes, everything looks good except the node-01 clustering section is not showing the other nodes information. Nodes-2, 3, and 4 are showing all the nodes information, Please find the screenshots below.

Thank you.Node-1.PNGNode-2.PNG

Did you ever find a resolution to this?  We began experiencing what you are showing for node-1 on all of our nodes just 2 weeks ago. Before that, no issues. We have been running jira for almost 3 years and the 8.16 since July.

Thanks!

hi Steve,

May I know if there is any update on this?

Thanks.

We did find the issue. For us, we have the R4J plug-in. This by itself was not the issue. However, R4J organizes issues into folders and allows for an "auto import issues to folders" scheduler to be set up. We had recently added some scheduled imports. Even though our "schedule" was set to run weekly, Atlassian found in a thread dump we provided that JVM restarts would launch this service, and locked all threads in that service making it impossible to run any other scheduler task while in this state.

Atlassian's health checker and clustering information relies on this same scheduler service. This service was unable to run until the treads were unlocked.

Removing the R4J Automatic import of issues , resolved our problem.

Thanks Steve for your detailed reply.

Though my cluster was just brought up today, I will check the log files to find if there would be any hints.

Btw, as you mentioned it was Atlassian found the issue, may I know how you engaged them?
