Order Tickets by Link Asset's Attribute

I have tickets in a filter that all have an insight asset linked to them.  Each of the Insight assets have an attribute "Open Date" with a date as a value.   I'd like to order these tickets by the linked assets' "Open Date" soonest to latest.  Is there no way to do this? I imagine this would make use of the iqlfunction in JQL to acheive this?

Hi @Micah Billman ,

the only way I can think of is to copy the "Open date" attribute to some custom field in the issue and sort the issues using this field.
