Very suddenly our server JIRA version 9.1.0 is no longing producing an authentication page.
This JIRA 9.1.0 is running on an Oracle Linux virtual machine.
Our usual JIRA sys admin is away this week.
The above is what I see in Microsoft Edge.
The Firefox browser shows this:
I have tried rebooting the server and have stopped and started the JIRA application. The JIRA process does seem to be running when I do a "ps -ef | grep jira".
Any help is much appreciated. thank you
The JIRA server was never given an SSL certificate. When I connect using HTTP:/ip_address, then we are successfully logging in.
Thanks for following up with a response as to what went wrong!

Can you reach the application ip:port directly? I've never seen Jira throw a message like this, so I suspect something further up in your networking tree is causing the issue.
Thanks,
Kian

When I do a telnet 137.82.x.11 8080, I do get a connection, so both the IP address and the port are functional.
thank you for the quick response.
