Please excuse my laziness at asking this question as I could probably get my answer by reading the documentation thoroughly. I am starting a new role in my use of Atlassian tools, sys admin, and I have a lot to learn. I'm being pressured to come up with an answer. We have an Active Directory LDAP service with thousands of users which we would ideally like to use to inform authentication username/password for JIRA, but only supporting a tiny subset of the total. Can we point to the LDAP server and then only enable a limited set? We don't want to have a license for a large number of users when we might only have 10-100 users at most.

Thanks!
