Priority order is incorrect

Vijay Koleti November 30, 2018

I'm seeing this issue now in Jira version 7.12.1.

My Priority Scheme:

  • CriticalCritical
  • HighHigh
  • MediumMedium
  • LowLow
  • Good To HaveGood To Have(Default)
  • ON-HOLDON-HOLD

JQL "ORDER BY priority DESC" displays:

  • HighHigh
  • MediumMedium
  • CriticalCritical
  • LowLow
  • Good To HaveGood To Have(Default)

Hello Vijay,

Thank you for raising this question.

If the order of the priorities is properly configured on your Priority Menu, I believe you should be facing an indexing issue.

Can you please re-index your JIRA and check if it fixes the problem?

Also, try to run the Integrity Checker on the module Check Field Layout Scheme Integrity.

Let us know if it works.

Thank You!

I went to Administration -> Issues -> Priorities.

Order listed is garbled. Fixed it to and reflected correct Priority.
