Quickfilter for Backlog

Can I use a formula to sort issues with the custom Status "Needs Assessment" and Status "Needs Assignment" to the Backlog? Currently, they are disappearing from our swimlanes and they are not appearing in the Backlog. We can only see them in "Open Issues."

Are you using Scrum or Kanban backlog? Server or Cloud?

I think there is no way to sort issues, unless Atlassian added it recently and I missed it :)

Scrum, Cloud, Yes - only open issues on the board.

We realized that we needed to add the status the column. It was currently under "unmapped" which is why it wasn't showing up.
