1. Create a search function and attach large documents in JIRA comment section?

I am working to configure the JIRA comment section so that I can search for comments made from multiple users over a long time. I also want to attach large documents in the comments and enable a conversation thread.

Hey there Kunaba, could you elaborate a bit more on what you meant by searching from comments made from multiple users over a long time? Searching for comments would be possible in general via the browser search function, but I'm not quite sure on what you are looking for in this case.

At the same time, do let us know more about what you meant by attaching large documents in the comments. Is it different from attaching the file into the ticket in general?

As for creating threads in the comments, we have a feature request for this here - JRASERVER-67618. Please Vote for and Watch the ticket to show support, as well as ensure that you are notified of any updates to the ticket.

Thanks for your input Joe. I work with several clients and contractors on a project. This project may run for the next 5 years. We everyone to be able to leave a comment on each issue and in 2 years maybe able to reference a comment made a year ago without having to read through multiple comments to find the right one. That is where the search function for comments will be useful. Also, an ability to have a multi-thread conversation on an issue like Facebook comments.
