ActiveObjects and external database

Hi,

I want to store my plugin datas in external database. Database system will be hsqldb or h2db. I saw that JIRA has support for data access like ActiveObjects. But Is there possible to define connection with external database used by ActiveObjects? How would I do that?

I would apprectiate for any code examples.

Accessing an external database from/with Active Objects is not possible at the moment. This is something we've considered at some point but there is no work planned to make it work right now.
