Advance JQuery with child and parent relation

Hi,

I encounter a new issue in jira. One of my team member creating a sub-task under a master ticket. when sub task creating he selecte Component/s ( Project Value) and after creating sub-task its resetting to value which was selected in Parent ticket. Why ?

EX : Parent -> Issue 1 -> selected Componet/s selecte A

Child -> Issue 1 (1) -> Selected Componet/s Select B

After click on create Button, its showing as Child -> Issue 1 (1) -> Component/s -> A (inted B)

You might have a post function in the workflow or a listener that sets the subtask component value based on parent issue value.

Many ways. You can do it using a plugin which you write or script it using script runner
