I am trying to configure JIRA behind Proxy. I attempted my best to configure APACHE2.2 on windows 2008 but no success.

1. Is there any way to install apache 2.2 on windows 2008 Server

IF NOT

2. How can I access JIRA using http://JIRASERVER.COMPANY.com/JIRA even without configuring Apache?

1. Yes, it's standard, follow the Apache docs. I seem to remember you might have some fun with UACs in Windows.

2. Just go to the url that Jira is running on - if you have proper DNS, then your server will have a network name. Even if it's not working, replacing the hostname with the server ip address will do it. Look in the Jira log (around startup) for a message that says "you may now access jira on http....." as a shortcut to working out where it's running.

Yes Nic. Unfortunately it was not a fun with UACs but I am being victimised for using 2008 OS for JIRA And Apache. I could handle most of the configurtations on JIRA front in hardly 2 or 3 days but for Apache I have already clocked more than 17 hours for diff. permutation and combinations.

I will try out once again with both the options from your comments.

Once again thanks a lot for helping me out here!

Yogesh
