Can I integrate vendor's JIRA space for my organization into our JIRA?

We outsource some of our IT functions.  It will be very helpful if we are able to integrate vendor's JIRA space for our firm into our own JIRA platform. This way we at least will have a consolidated view into all tickets instead of current process where we have to log into vendor's JIRA site to be able to view our tickets.  Please note that the vendor has other clients on their JIRA, but they do have a work space dedicated to us.  We will only want to see our tickets. Any suggestions?

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Thanks for mentioning us.

Hello @Harsh Sharma

As @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- mentioned, you can set up a project in your Jira that mirrors their project configuration. And we can help you with the sync between the issues of the two projects.

I'm Riddhi from the Exalate team, which is a live synchronization tool. If you agree to this solution we can help you with live syncing of the multiple projects within the cloud.

Exalate is made for the use case you described. As it allows syncing information bi- and uni-directionally between multiple Jira instances. Or separate projects in your local Jira.

It's mega flexible, you can sync all types of information, including comments, attachments and custom fields. You can control what to sync and what not, and much more ....

It can also cater to your situation of dealing in a private to public sync, You can find out more about it here.

By the way, It might also be useful to set up a live video-discussion to demonstrate how Exalate would get set up for your use case

Would that be valuable to you? You can book a suitable slot here.

Cheers,

Riddhi

There's no direct link between them because you've got two Jira systems that are separate services with their own data, and they need to remain separate.

What I would do is set up a project in your Jira that mirrors their project configuration (it doesn't have to be exact, but it will be easier if it is close).  Then use K15t's Backbone or iDalko's Exalate to synchronise the issues between the two projects.

You can then do all the reporting and work on your Jira without having to log into theirs

Note - there are other options, including building your own sync system, but I've only ever done really simple sync's myself, and not used any apps other than the two above, so I can't remember what they are.  Watchtower possibly?
