Basic question from a Jira newbie.... I'm sure this is going to be one of those stupid questions but here goes anyway.
I've created a new Project in Jira. Now looking at loading all the Issues assigned to the project. All the Jira documentation talks about a "Create Issue" button but I can't find it anywhere. I'm the site administrator and have also played around in permission settings. The only way I can add an issue is by clicking on the Issue filtering menu.
Thanks everyone
I'd still like to see an answer to the original question, how to get the + create button on the Kanban Board view (not Issues view). Any insights? Thanks. (Oh, and for that matter I don't see anything resembling the screenshot on Issues either. All I can do is use a big Create button in the top menu, which is unintuitive and doesn't prefill anything like the Status from the Column.)
Why is there no Create button at the top menu bar? I can create an issue using the +, but in previous Jira versions we had a Create button in the blue bar at the top of the screen. Where is that Create button? Why does it not display?

According to the number of request about this topic, it seems to be a deep UX/UI failed.

You can create an issue with the + button on the left side panel, right below the magnifier button.
