Can't grant user access

Jonathan_Salaveria November 20, 2018

I'm unable to grant permissions to access a particular dashboard to a user.  I've added the user to the global permissions, an appropriate group (outside of a group as well), and directly to the project.  The user gets the invite  > clicks link > takes the user to Jira, but no projects are visible.

How do I fix this?

Hello Jonathan,

try to check in permission-helper if the user have 'Browse Project' permissions. You'll get also information what is missing

Tried that and it didnt work.  By default the permission scheme for the projects I'm trying to give access to is set to allow 'all signed in users.'  Additionaly I did grant permissions to that specific user, but that didnt work either.

Do you use only internal directory for user managment or also AD/LDAP?

Jonathan_Salaveria November 20, 2018

Yes we do.  This user can be found in AD no problem.

Check if the user exist in both (AD in Internal) directories with a same username. If yes - delete duplicate account.
