Can't upgrade threaded-comments-for-jira after switching to 8.1

After switching to JIRA 8.1 my threaded-comments-for-jira app is obsolete. Is there a way to upgrade it?

Normally I wouldn't ask here but isn't it a core app? :)

At the moment you could use threaded-comments-1.27.1-SNAPSHOT.jar from https://bitbucket.org/vrenjith/jira-threaded-comments/downloads/

It seems the add-on was delisted because of the new data privacy rules atlassian enforces now.

However this seems to be the source code of that add-on and there is an update for 8.1 available.
