I am trying to close a sprint but it keeps on telling me Sprint cannot be completed as there are incomplete subtasks on the following issues:.
My subtasks in those issues are using their own workflow, but part of the last step of that workflow is to mark a resolution and fire off an Issue Resolved event. Why is still telling me that I cannot complete the sprint? It's rendering the entire Agile aspect completely useless.
Indeed, it's a Greenhopper bug: GHS-7232.
When completing a Sprint, Greenhopper sees tasks as finished if they have a Status included in the Done column. What's wrong is that it's looking for these Status IDs for Sub-tasks as well. So if you're using a different workflow for your Subtasks, and the Subtasks aren't included in the Board filter (and so their final Status isn't included in the Done column), Greenhopper will complain about Subtasks not being finished.
Workaround for this is to include your Subtasks in the Board filter and add their final status to the Done column.
For extra clarification, what Dora means by Done column is the green column on the Configure Agile Board \ Columns page. Make sure the resolved status for your sub-tasks is placed in the green column.

+ 1. Same problem for me. Sub-tasks in customized workflow are not recognized as completed.
