Hi there,
I have a Jira Service Desk ticket with a child custom field included in the screen, used to select a project and an approver from a list.
The approver, is a list of email addresses "name.surname@domain.com".
It might be possible to add an automatic comment when an issue is raised, with a text like:
Hi @approver, this request need to be approved from you.
I would be sure that each approver will get a notification when someone raise a ticket that need to be approved by him.
Of course add a comment is a workaround, if someone of you have a better idea I am really open to listen any other ways.
Note: We have Script Runner installed, so I was thinking that maybe a script can help me?
Thanks
Hi,
May be worth having a look at the workflow approvals. You can add a step in your workflow for a ticket where approval is required, the person selected as an approver then gets notified it requires their approval. The approver can either be selected from a custom field or pre-set list of approvers. See the below links for more details

Server Jira - https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskserver/setting-up-approvals-939926369.html
Hope this helps

Evan
