Create custom keyboard shortcuts?

Is there a way for a JIRA Administrator to create custom keyboard shortcuts? I found this page, but it's geared toward Atlassian developers.

Hello Michele,

I'm afraid that the only way to create customized keyboard shortcuts is by developing them (as provided in the documentation link).

There was an improvement request ticket addressing this here:

It was created almost 2 years ago, and it's still in New status, so maybe you can vote on it and comment on how is that important for your business. As this might help for this improvement to get implemented faster.

Hi Michele, that's because you can add new keyboards shortcuts but only doing some development. This shows you how you can do it.
