We are using JIRA for change management and want a calendar that shows when changes are scheduled using the Service Desk custom field "Change start date".  I have tried using the built-in JIRA Calendar gadget as well as the Doitbetter Calendar plug-in.  Neither of them will show the issues using this field.  But they work fine using other built-in Date/Date Time Picker fields such as Created, Updated, Due Date.  The field has global context and I have re-indexed.  Pretty sure its a field issue but not sure what else to look at.

Hi Sean!

I just found a known bug (but at the Confluence side) regarding the same behavior, please take a look:

I really think that in your case it is worth testing the last comment workaround for this:

  1. Go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields
  2. Find Change date
  3. Select Edit
  4. Change the Search Template to be Date Picker
  5. Repeat for Change completion date
  6. Reindex
  7. The Calendar will now work with the JSD custom fields

Hope this can help!

Best Regards.

Thanks, that worked.  Curious why that is not the default, especially on a custom field created by Atlassian.
