Hi,
I am using JIRA Service Desk 3.1.9 and after creating a 'Basic Service Desk' project I notice that there is a predefined 'Developer' role. I am trying to understand what the characteristics of this role is, but I cannot find much mention of it in the Atlassian Service Desk documentation. A user granted this role does not appear to have different privileges to someone wih the 'customer' role.
Can anyone please explain?

Hi, after looking further at this it seems that the 'Developer' role I am seeing is not necessarily a pre-configured Service Desk role (as 'Service Desk Team' is) but a JIRA role which can be mapped to permissions via the permission scheme for the Service Desk project.
