Do public shared filters override project permissions?

Miguel De Dios March 13, 2019

Hello,

Do public shared filters override project permissions?

For instance, if ABC project has only specific groups and project roles for 'Browse Issues' permission but ABC filter (based on ABC project) is public does that mean that anyone can see the filter? (e.g. project = ABC)

I'm confused as to what overrides what in this case

Thanks.

No it will not over write project permissions. Even if your filter is public users should have browse project permission access the filter or issues in that project. If users don't have browse project permissions users cannot see any issue within that project.
