Hi All,
I have two JIRA instances in to different linux servers. My goal is to take back from JIRA on server 1 to JIRA on server 2. I have taken the back up of the JIRA on server 1. But now i m sure how can restore this back up on JIRA server 2. How can i download the back from JIRA server 1?
Is there any easier or better way?
Thanks,
Swathi S
- The backup xml is lying in the export folder in your installation. Copy it to the other machine in the import folder with your favourite tool e.g winscp if you are on windows or rsync or cp on linux directly. you can restore this xml backup from the front end on the second server.
Thank you i was able to download and restore. Since i was using Kubernetes service. I had to search command for kubernetes copy but it worked thank you.

a new idea to be able to download directly from JIRA https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-74216

Have you tried running JIRA on a virtual machine? This makes it relatively easy to create backups/ snapshots etc.
