Hello,
I have the same issue but there are multiple actions that cause freezing the entire page.
Actions that freeze the page:
- Adding an issue description (Jira)
- Comment on an issue (Jira)
- Deleting bullet points on a page (Confluence)
- Trying to jump into a new page row with enter (Confluence)
and many more
My Specs:
macOS Big Sur
tested on Safari and Chrome both the same issues
Testing in Icognito came with the same issues.
Tested over several days and doesn't change.
Regards,
Dominik
#Update
I have updated Google Chrome, Safari and macOS to the latest version problem still there.
However also tested on Firefox now and there everything works as it should.
I have been super frustrated dealing with this issue for over one month now -- a productivity nightmare!
So I did some digging and turns out this Jira/Confluence freeze scenario has little to do with Atlassian but the browser extensions and apps that we have installed.
A way to troubleshoot is to:
Now you can cut down to one or two extensions which might be causing this by turning them on one by one and restarting the browser to see the behaviour.
In my case it was the Kaspersky anti-malware browser extension that was causing the freeze on latest versions of Chrome and Safari. I have opened a support case with them and shared all technical details. Hopefully they'll be able to fix this bug so I can turn it back on. Ticket# INC000012856780
Other reported extensions causing this are Loom and AdBlockers.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by version. I'm using both on the web.
