Email Notifications

I want to know below setting which is possible to do or not.
•To get notifications from Jira when specific user changed status of issues.(when group A user changed status, would notification email send to only Group A members.
•if above setting is possible to do that, would you tell me how to do that.

Hi Aki,

well, theoretically it is possible.

Predispositions are ability to create new system event and ability to have advance skills in configuration of workflows.

Let say, we got:

1. Group A, which contain User 1
2. Group B, which contain User 2
3. At first, somewhere you have to had specifications of those groups. Lets suppose you are using Project Roles or System Groups. 
4. In system event, we will prepare two new Generic Events one for Group A another for Group B.
5. In affected workflow, you have to create two transitions instead of one. First for Group A and second for Group B.
6. In Transition for Group A, you will add Condition, that only Group A members can fire it. In transition Post Function, you will change Fire Generic Event for Event you created for Group A.
7. You will repeat step 6 for Group B or other Groups.
8. Last, you will create Notification Scheme which will notify users in Group A on behalf of System Event A and vice verse for other event.

You can of course go with custom automation development in Groovy / Script Runner, but this one should be available out of the box.

I am facing the same problem with my email account. I didn't get email notification of others on my account. Thanks. Once, I couldn't AOL Desktop Gold Download then I resolved this issue with the help of AOL Customer Service experts.

I think you will need an addon because it is not possible with jira to send a mail if and only if a specific user make the transition if this transition is allowed for everyone
