Formatting default value text in "Free Text Field" CF

Hi all. Is it possible to format the default value text for a Free Text custom field? For example, I'd like to create a numbered list with some bold text. Thanks!

Hi Fender,

Create the free test custom field, and then go to the field configuration that is linked to the project and change the renderer of the custom field created to Wiki Renderer. Once done go back to the custom field, click configure and then edit the default value to have text you want in bold. (Eg. *Test* will make make Test to be in bold)

I tried this but this did not work.

I am using a multiline text custom field and want the formatted default value in it but that text not becoming bold. can you please suggest.
