Full Manual Scheduling in Portfolio?

Is there any way to force Jira Portfolio (version 2+) to show timeline / roadmap bars only as manually-scheduled times?  It seems like it's impossible to stop Portfolio from showing its auto-calculated value.  Even by selecting the "Target schedule" mode, it only adds a tiny triangle where your manual date is, but the bar continues to display the calculated mode.

It seems like going to a "plan of plan" (i.e. Program) removes the ability to even see the tiny triangle for the "Target end"...

I understand the idea of trying to replicate resource/capacity planning, but not having an option to go full-manual seems insane.  Am I missing something?
