How can I change the default workflow in the project?

Monika March 28, 2019

I created a new Issue type (A) with a custom workflow 'x'

Now when I create a new Issue type (B) with another custom workflow 'y', it works as expected.

But the problem is when a Issue is created with a default issue types like (Story or a task), it is taking 'x' workflow. I want to have a 'Simplified workflow scheme' for any other Issue type other than A & B.

Is this possible? If yes, what is the way to do it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Monika   You can use different work flow for different issue types

Got Project assigned "WorkFlow" Scheme there you can change the workflow for story and task.

Got admin settings > Issues > WorkFlow Schemes > select Workflow scheme that is assigne to

Project that you want to change

Make sure while change the workflow it will ask you to Map the Old workflow Status with New Workflow Status

because present existing issue  will effect that is using that old workflow . Make sure while changing .

1st Test in Testing Environment then make change in your pord

Thanks,

I dont want to change it to a different project. Instead, have multiple workflows within the same project and have a unique workflow for every issue type. Also, have a default workflow scheme ('Simplified workflow scheme') if there isn't any created.
