How do I create a calculated custom field in JIRA OnDemand?

I want to create a non-editable field whose value is calculated based on the values two other fields. This custom field would need to be be viewable in the view issue screen after the issue is edited and in the issue navigator.

You can't install any of the standard plugins that allow for the creation of such fields, so no, you can't.

You may be able to do it with a "connect" plugin, but I've not tried it myself.

Effectively, they're external addons - they can't hook into the Jira api, but they can talk to Jira in its own language and run inside it, sort of.
