How to create JQL function "currentProject()"

I'm trying to reply to a post in the old JIRA forums. The specific thread is this one - http://forums.atlassian.com/message.jspa?messageID=257364894#257364894

In it, user "Syllant" says he managed to create a currentProject() function for use in JQL searches.

However he/she doesn't give any details of the code he wrote.

Syllant, if you're out there, do you still have the code and if so could you post specific instructions?

Method should be called with parameters: Permissions.BROWSE and jiraAuthenticationContext.getLoggedInUser()
