How to determine plugin usage?

Tom Luong April 8, 2013

My Jira installation has tons of plugins installed. I doubt all are in use. Is there a way to find out which plugins have been used recently. This plugin usage would help me identify plugins to disable/uninstall. I hope this will make Jira easier to manage for future upgrades.

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately, theres no easy way to do this. Your best bet is to look at the access logs for urls that are specific to the plugin you are investigating. For example, if you wanted to know about GreenHopper usage, you might search for access results to RapidBoard.jspa

Hope this helps!

Thanks Alex. I wish there was an easier way since there are a bunch of plugins I like to disable if they're not in use.
