How to remove auto populating of a field in Jira

Hi  all, I need to remove an auto populating field in a particular subtask. How could i do that?

I'm not sure where this is being populated, but if you have a workflow for the subtask, you can use the 'JIRA Suite Utilities plugin' to update a custom field value during the initial creation of your issues.  Just make sure it's the last post function that fires during the 'Create' transition.
