Dear,
at Infarm we are working with the Jira ticketing system. We create tickets which appear in one project, based on these tickets we are creating action tickets, that appear in a different projects action board. At the moment we have to add all components twice manually, which leads to confusion and missing components as we are talking about several hundreds of components (potentially several thousands in the future).
How can we sync the components between different projects in Jira?
You can call me via +49 176 73877691 or niklas.kluger@infarm.com
Thanks
Hello @Niklas Kluger ,
there is an add on for this task called "Version and Component Sync for Atlassian JIRA". This will make your job quite easy i think :)

CM
Edit: This is what we use in the company, in which i work. But i am sure there are more too. Feel free to search and choose
I'm part of the Exalate team, a synchronization solution for Jira to Jira integration.
Exalate will allow you to sync information bi- and uni-directionally between your multiple Jira instances.
It's mega flexible, so you can sync all types of information, like workflow status. But it even includes the option to sync transitions, comments, attachments, custom fields, etc. You can control what to sync, what not, who to sync it with and much more.
Since Exalate is an issue sync solution you will need to sync at least 1 issue with Exalate and then configure Exalate to sync components and versions as part of the issue synchronization. You can find out more here.
I hope this answer helps. 😃
We also provide live video-discussion to demonstrate how Exalate would get set up for your use case. Let me know if you are interested?
Cheers,
Riddhi

Hi @Niklas Kluger ,
The Version & Component Sync app is a perfect solution for this requirement! It will automatically keep versions/components in sync between multiple projects, where you have one "Master" project and an unlimited number of linked projects to which version/components changes are propagated.
If you’re interested, you can find tutorials and documentation about the app on our website.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to further clarify the usage of our app or if you have any additional questions.
Happy syncing :)

P.S. @Christos Moysiadis thank you for mentioning our app, much appreciated!
