I can't start JIRA

Kathy Plamann July 10, 2015

When I try to start the Windows Service JIRA on Windows Server 2012 R2 and JIRA 6.4.2 I get the following error message from Services. Is there a way that I can start JIRA?

Thanks

Kathy

Hi

I was able to resolve this issue by modifying my server.xml.

Thanks

Hi Kathy,

You can attempt to start JIRA by running the starter directly to see if there is any difference:

JIRA_INSTALL/bin/start-jira.bat

After running this, monitor the logs to see if anything happens there as well:

JIRA_INSTALL/logs/catalina.out or JIRA_HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log

You need to read the log files to find out why JIRA is stopping.
