I have lots of issues in my project that get deferred until a later date. Is it possible to hide these issues to keep my board clutter free, and then have them reappear at a future date chosen by me? Think of how google inbox let's you defer an email which then reappears in your inbox that night, or the next weekend when you actually want to deal with it.

You should amend your board filter so that it does not include issues until they come within range of the date.

For example "duedate < +2w" should exclude anything with a due date further than a fortnight into the future.

Thanks, that solution would kind of work, but I'm assuming the issue would still be visible in other kinds of views?

You can hide a card until a certain date using the "card snooze" power up https://trello.com/power-ups/58dd18bdccfca7af8311792e/card-snooze

This question was about Jira. "Snooze" isn't available in it.
