Is there a way to edit the description of a security level?

I can't seem to find a way to do something that should be pretty obvious.

Hi Jasen,

Just to give you a heads up, there's a long running JAC ticket for this feature. Until now, there's no definite date when they are planning to implement this functionality.

So if Atlassian decides to fix this bug, it would be another six months to update due to the fact that we all know that updaing means all your plugins and customizations will break. So, can you get me pointed in the right direction to perhaps make the edit of the description in the database itself? I really don't want to make a new level then bulk edit everythign to the new one. I guess if that is the only way I will.
