Is there any way to replace TestLink by Jira?

Terry Hardin January 10, 2019

Currently we are using TestLink as our test management solution and Jira for bug tracking, but recently we want to move our QA team to Jira, and hope the team can complete their test activities inside Jira, so that we can only keep one system to handle both dev and testing.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Paul,

To manage your testing activities (e.g. Test case and execution, report ...), you have to get some test management app installed. Our product synapseRT supports migrating test cases from TestLink to Jira. You can simply export your test cases to a .xml file (supported by TestLink) and the use synapseRT importer to import them back to Jira/synapseRT.

Here is the doc for your reference: https://doc.go2group.com/synapsert/latest/en/synapsert-ver-9-x/user-guide/administration/test-case-import

Hello,

There is a lot test management plugins for Jira like Adaptavist Test Management, Xray or Zephyr. We are also developing one of them - TestFLO and it also allows to import your test cases from TestLink to Jira. We encourage you to try it out.

The Marketplace is yours to explore :)

Kind regards,
Marcin

Thanks Cheney and Marcin.

I have installed SynapseRT and tested the import feature, it works perfect for me so far.

I am going to test the same in other plugins as well to see which one will fit us best.

Regards,

Paul
