I have a transition called "Information Needed." I am removing it from one status, just one. The transition is still needed for other statuses. I can see that I can delete the transition, but it deletes the other "Information Needed" transitions. I am just trying to remove this transition from this one status, not delete the transition entirely. Is there really no way to do this? Is there a button I am missing?
Edit: Around this I just copied over the workflow, and removed the status. However, I am still curious as to if there is a way to remove a transition from a status without using a workaround.
how are you deleting the transition? can you share your workflow diagram? you should be able to edit the workflow in diagram mode and click the specific transition and then delete transition. Worse case, you simply add the transition back into the other statuses.
To be sure, are you selecting the transition into the status? I just tested on one of my test projects where I had reused a transition and was able to delete a single transition. I am on cloud.

Interesting. That is exactly what I attempted, however, when I use "Delete transition" it removes all of the identical ones.
I just tried it on a inactive version of the same workflow and worked. Does it being inactive/vs active make a difference?

Actually, I just tried on a different transition and worked as you described. Maybe I was just seeing things oddly. I appreciate your responses.

OH....i should have mentioned or asked that. I just assumed you were editing an inactive. Yes indeed you need to do this on an inactive workflow. make a copy, edit and save as a new version... xxx v2.0 then switch schemes in the project

Hi, am I having the same issue where I need to remove transitions. My question is, if I replace schemes will the status associated to bugs already raised keep their status, as long as the schemes are the same?

Steve, if you are replacing a workflow, if there are any change to statuses from the previous WF then you will be prompted to remap them to statuses in the new WF. If the statuses are all the same between the WFs then you will not be prompted to remap.

Thanks for your prompt reply Jack. The status's will remain the same, I just need to remove the over complicated transitions.

another ridiculous atlassianism..
same problem here.
clicking on a transition will highlight all the reused ones, and there is no way to highlight or select only one of them. so all of them get deleted when I click `delete transition`
the popup message does not even tell you or warn you that _all_ the reused transitions will be removed..
Using the "New editor", it is possible to delete a single transition instance (by removing the specific source/s for that transition). But this new editor comes with its own set of bugs and limitations..

I have the same issue when i try to delete reused transition, it deletes all of the transition that i have used between different statuses. So to delete only the transition you choosed, you have to select the transition from text view of the workflow.
