Issues not showing in Navigator/Search/Gadgets - after limiting Security Level to Reporter and/or current Assignee

I created a Issue Security Scheme to a Project with defaults all Issues to be in a private Level. Which means only current assignee & reporter should be able to see an Issue.

However once I activate this Scheme, neither the Reporter nor the assignee can see these Issues in Gadgets (i.e. Assigned to Me) or Filters ... However accessing the Issue directly via https://myjira.server.com/browse/<my issue="" key=""> works fine and does not produce any security Violations.

It also only seems to happen with the functions Reporter and current Assignee --- if I change the Isssue Scheme to include a specific User for example, then that specific User can see these Issues.
