JIRA 3.12

Fong Gary March 8, 2016

Hi Team,

We are currently using JIRA 3.12 version with Windows 2003 Server + MySQL Database + Tomcat 5.5. And we are going to upgrade the Windows 2003 server to Windows 2012 Server. Is the current JIRA 3.12 still working fine in Windows 2012 Server? Or we need to upgrade JIRA 7.1 Version as well? If JIRA 3.12 will compatible with Windows 2012 Server, we would like to keep using the JIRA 3.12 version.

Thanks and regards,
Gary Fong

In theory, it will run on any system that can run the version of Java that it requires.

In real life, I've seen issues with 3.13 on newer versions of Windows, and, more importantly, it's unsupported, insecure (do not put that system on the internet), does not work with browsers that you should be using and will probably cause you serious problems.  I strongly recommend that you upgrade.
