Hi,
I upgraded to JIRA 7.8.
I there a way to configure the new quick search so that Tasks are shown at top and Subtask below?
Hi Alexander,
This new quick search feature in Jira was just introduced in 7.8.0. You can read more about this in Quick searching. I take it that you are referring to the drop-down menu that appears now when you click the quick search box. This will display recent issues or issues that matched your current search.
To address your question, there are no configuration options for this resource at this time in order to change the order of the results shown in this new drop down. I was not able to find any existing feature requests for this though.
You could create a feature request inside the JRASERVER project on JAC and request this as a feature. There is no guarantee that this would be implemented, but our product management team does use these requests as a potential source of new features to implement in our products.
I have the same question. We updated to this Jira version also and in the release notes of jira 7.8.x I found the point "Find your work faster" but this feature is not available for us in our system. The drop-down will not show up...
Do I have to enable it before I can use this feature?
Thanks a lot.

in the advanced Settings, what value does "jira.quicksearch.max.concurrent.searches" have?

The value is on "20" in our system.
Our system is currently on Jira Software & Core v7.9.2#79002-sha1:3bb15b6. But we don´t see the drop-down when I click on the search field in the upper right corner...
