JIRA Classic option gone when trying to create a new project?

In the past I always used the classic option when creating a new project.

Now the option won't show up anymore.

It's still showing up in the settings though.

Any idea how to solve this?

Is there some explanation of why the "JIRA Classic" project type was removed and what users who were using this project type should do from now on? I don't mind considering improving our process if I understand why I have to and why the new process is better. But that's not clear right now.
