JIRA Reindexing takes almost 6 hours

we are using JIRA 7.5.2 when we try reindexing , everytime it takes 6 hours .

We have around

76 projects

0.4 million issues

30 custom fields.

any suggestion how to fix this?

Yes, you can try to tune JIRA settings and see if that helps

We are facing the same problem but tunning JIRA index threads doesn't help.

How many JIRA index threads did you set?

I can't find this jira-config.properties file in $JIRA_HOME or $JIRA_INSTALL.  Searching relevant document, and it seems not to exist in JIRA applications installations and home directory so that it should be created.  Ref: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-edit-the-jira-config-properties-file-317194938.html.

I'm creating a new file for jira-config.properties under home directory, and try to re-index again.
