Hi!
is there an option to Auto-approve Tickets with a Server installation? (not Atlassian Cloud), like this Article in the official cloud Documentation?
On the on-prem/local Server installation the WHEN-IF-THEN (automation rule) didn't work, the log shows only the message "error".
An possible workarround for us would be to set the approver as option/optional - so if no approver will be selectet, the ticket is automaticaly approved. Is it possible to set the approval optional?

There is more advanced approval alternative: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.intenso.jira.plugins.jira-approvals/server/overview
That feature can be easlily added to the plugin.
There is a version for JIRA Service Desk not released yet but available if you request that on support:
