JQL Find Issues by Epic

Brian Oconnell July 1, 2019

How can I query issues by the Epic to which they belong?

Specifically, this is to insert in the "Insert JIRA Issue/Filter" macro in Confluence.

This should be super basic but I can't find documentation anywhere.

Hi @Brian Oconnell

To list all issues in specific epic please use "Epic Link" = EPIC_KEY

How do I find the Epic key or ID that is compatible with a JQL query. The Epic Name and link does not work in the query

I had the same problem several times. Using "epic link" = EPIC_KEY did not work in a query.... (p.e. for quick filters in BigPicture...).

Thank you.  That worked when I waited for auto-fill to populate the field name, but not when I copied and pasted it.
