JQL "was" operator for components

Dear community,

I do need a JQL query to return issues to which specific components were assigned (in the passt). Looking at a previous post, it seems that the "Automation for JIRA" adds this additional functionality since by default Jira Core does not support the "was" for components, see https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/History-of-Component/qaq-p/1186086

However, even with this plugin successfully installed, the "was" operator is not available. Does anyone know a way to make the "was" operator work for components in Jira?

Sorry but the operator "was" is not supported by the field "component"

Hi Olivier,

thanks for the hint, that's what I already know. Therefore the question for an alternative solution. It seems that some folks achieved it with the mentioned plugin "Automation for JIRA". However I couldn't make it work with it.

Any other ideas?
