Jira 4.4 : Create issue by e-mail, createusers=false, how to send e-mail if user does not have an account

Michael Demey May 28, 2012

Hi everyone,

Jira correctly picks up e-mails from existing users and turns them into issues. But we want to set up our Jira to send back an e-mail when the user doesn't exist, but I was unable to find anything online. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I didn't think of doing it like that. Thanks!

I don't know whether this sound meaningful but you can do some setting in the mailbox from where JIRA reads an email. Reply back to the email ifit is not read by JIRA for some 15-20 mins. You will have to explore this via mailbox options. You will have to put rules to scrutinize the emails.
