Migrate Jira project from one server to another jira server

I have few projects one on server and i would like to move two projects to another server.

I went through the documenation and with out doing complete backup & restore i want to move only two project related data to the targert server.

What is the effective way to achieve this?

What will happen if the data be migrated is already existing on the target jira server?

Hi kavin,

Try the Project Import feature. you also need to take care of the customfields if any created for the project.

If the project is using workflows ,field config, screen scheme, notification scheme, that is not default , then do i need to create all those objects before importing the data to target server

Yes. You have to configure those first. Workflows can be imported but not the other schemes.

Can you suggest, is there any way by which field config, screen scheme, notification scheme of one project can also be migrated from DEV to TEST JIRRA environment.
