Hello,
We have an issue, since I changed the default language. During a long time, it was in English (default). Now I changed it in French. But many Jira users change their profile in English.
Now when I create a new project, it creates some new issue type and new issue type schemes. The issue type "task" becomes "tâches" (task in french) for example. I mean, it's not a translation, it's a new issue type. -> the issue type name is translated in french. (and I'm still able to configure the translation of this issue type, which is totally confusing...)
To workaround this, I can change the issue type scheme of the project after creating the project, to put back the English version of the scheme...
Am I damned to do this on every project creation ? But then there is a lot of mess in background, there is still some unused issue type... I can delete them but it will be recreated at next project creation...
Is it a bug or a feature... ?
Thanks for your help
Thank you very much for this answer !
Even if it's not a "solution", it really helps me re-think the way we create our Jira Project.
Regards
This issue is addressed in the following report: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-43539. This is expected as explained by the Jira Product Manager here. Therefore you may use the Create with shared configuration to create a project with existing schemes from a project.
Hope that helps.
