When I attach epic with initiative in Portfolio, it's creating a parent child relationship within the tickets. Epic is Child and Initiative will be as Parent. I want to copy Initiative Field value to epic when the linking is done in portfolio. Bottom line is Epic should copy its field value from Initiative
We have following Add-ons.
1. Script Runner for Jira. 2. Project Automation pro.
Hello @Vignesh Singh
I'm not sure about your add-ons, but if you don't mind trying another one I can help you.
I'm the Product Manager for the add-on Elements Copy & Sync, which lets you do just what you need.
What we can help you with is synchronising fields between an Initiative and its Epics when the link is created, or to directly create Epic from Initiative with the app to automatically include the fields you need in the Epic and link at the same time.
Don't hesitate to contact our support if you need any help.
Kind regards,
Julien
Thanks for your swift response. Actually, we have already installed the add-on Elements Copy & Sync in our Instance. If there is any workaround to achieve this that will be fantastic and highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Glad you already have the add-on, it will be even faster. :)
Yes you can use Copy & Sync to copy data from an Initiative to an Epic, for this you just have to use the "Advanced Roadmaps" links in you operation and synchronisation configuration. This compatibility was introduced with version 3.0 of the app, so make sure you are up-to-date.
As I said earlier, don't hesitate to contact our support team if you need any help, they will gladly help you set this up.

Is there a solution using Automation for Jira to copy a field from Initiatives to their children (Epics)?
