New Feature - Internalize Embedded Pictures

At the moment, when I paste images from a web browser (Chrome, Firefox etc) into a JIRA issue / Confluence page, JIRA / Confluence embeds them as links, i.e. without a copy of the image.

This is not robust enough since the image can get deleted etc.

Would it be possible to add a new feature - right click context menu? - to download and attach the picture?

Hi Jiri,

I can definitely see how this feature would come in handy. It looks like there was a feature request for Confluence to add this feature, but our product team found there was limited demand:
